Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently inviting expressions of interest for a Quantity Surveyor for one of the potential projects. Please note that at this stage, applications for this role are invited as an Expression of Interest (EOI) whilst opportunities are being fully determined. To deliver & integrate all Project planning activities/deliverables for a portfolio of brownfield projects. Responsible for delivery of standard, consistent and realistic project plans reflecting the assessed risk parameters for each project Accountabilities Review the cost estimates of work requests, work orders and Purchase Orders. You will need to be able to provide a conclusion on the accuracy and fairness of the estimate, both quantities and pricing Review the accuracy of the (contract) rates used in cost estimates, invoices and supporting documents and the usage of non-contract prices (so called star rates) if contract rates are not available Inspect work delivered at location and be able to conclude whether the actual delivery is in conform the cost estimate and materials and services invoiced Review timesheets and assess whether the hours/days charged is realistic for the work delivered Create a report for each contract reviewed that documents the results of the review. Skills / Qualifications Minimum of 10 years industry experience Experience in inspection of work at invoice stage to review whether what has been invoiced is what has been delivered Extensive experience in civil, electrical quantity surveying, reviewing work estimates and supporting documentation Experience in the oil & gas industry Being able to understand contracts, especially the rates and prices sections Fluent written and spoken English, Arabic language skills will be an advantage With Iraq experience preferred Company Overview Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world’s most critical challenges.
